The Klaxon Mutant Allstars play music that is playful, haunting, and exuberant, inhabiting the new musical terrain between jazz, electronica, pop, and indie rock.   The Klaxons’ music is meticulously crafted and presented with joyful virtuosity, blurring the lines between composition and improvisation, acoustic and electronic, and between individual musical personalities and the lush, intoxicating sound of the whole.

This show will be the CD release of "Robot Invasion," Klaxon Mutant Allstars’ intriguing and highly creative debut album. This recording is a product of the current generation of eclectic-minded jazz musicians living in the Bay Area’s technology-obsessed, genre-twisting, multi-cultural mix.  With inspiration drawn from everything from 1980s hip hop, to underdog baseball heroes, to the writings of David Sedaris, to California politics, plus one cover of the band Deerhoof, the Klaxons have created an album that, like their Bay Area home, is multi-pronged in its influences, vital in its relevance, and boldly points to the future.

DUENDE is a collaboration between Chef Paul Canales and impresario Rocco Somazzi, born from a common passion for creative soulful food, artisanal wines, beers and spirits and eclectic improvised music and art. "Our performances take place in a dedicated room, and our stage is not visible from our bar & dining room, " Somazzi says. "This provides a more focused listening environment. If you're planning to dine with us please allow enough time to eat before showtime."
