Featuring: Hank Jones, Jim Hall, Carmen Costa (yes, the Brazilian singer, performing here as a percussionist), José Paulo (then Carmen's husband), Tommy Williams, Bob Brookmeyer, Romeo Penque, Doc Severinsen, Bernie Glow, Clark Terry, Ray Beckenstein, Joe Ferrante, Nick Travis, Tony Studd, Ray Alonge, Willie Dennis, Eddie Caine, Johnny Rae, Walt Levinsky, Babe Clark, Gerald Sanfino
Highlights: "Bim Bom" (in an arrangement that João Gilberto himself considers as one of the best instrumental versions ever recorded of his tune!), "Manhã de Carnaval" (Luiz Bonfá/Antonio Maria), "One Note Samba" (Antonio Carlos Jobim/Newton Mendonça) and several originals by McFarland.
