Daniel Wolff News

In September, Daniel will perform with the ULBRA Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Tiago Flores, his arrangements of two concerti by Bach: the Concerto BWV 1056 and the Italian Concerto BWV 971. He will also play a recital in celebration of the UFRGS Arts College centennial anniversary, along with teachers and students from the University. The concert schedule is available here.

Daniel's As Três Faces de Ernesto, for piano and strings, based on themes by Ernesto Nazareth, was performed in August by Olinda Allessandrini and the Theatro São Pedro Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Antônio Borges Cunha. The last movement will be performed in October by Cristina Capparelli Gerling with the EMBAP Orchestra, in Curitiba. Also in October, the Quintet of the Americas will play in New York the release concert of its new CD, with seven works by Gaudencio Thiago de Mello arranged by Daniel.

The scores of Daniel's arrangements, recorded in duo with guitarist Daniel Göritz on the CD New Transcriptions for 2 Guitars, are available for purchase on Edition Margaux's website. On the German publishing house's new website, it is possible to read the prefaces and view samples from the scores.

The latest issue of the German magazine Gitarre Aktuell has an article by Daniel on the history of the guitar in Southern Brazil, translated to German by Adriana Balboa. An English version is expected to be published shortly.
